Welcome... Bienvenue... Willkommen... Benvenuto... Bienvenidos
We are all told, “live your life to the fullest”; I am here to do just that. Em's Adventures serves as a vessel to project my passions, and clue in my loyal readers as to what inspires me in this crazy world. So, sit back, relax, and let me take you on a journey...
ABOUT ME
In July 2018, I graduated with a 2:2 in my Undergraduate degree in Modern Languages, Translation & Interpreting from Swansea University in Wales. At University, I was also involved with the students' newspaper (Waterfront) as well as the wider Swansea Student Media community. This provided me with the inspiration and indeed the know how in setting up a blog. Thus, Em’s Adventures was born!
My blog was originally planned to document my time in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China where - at the beginning of 2019 - I taught English for a few months. Unfortunately, this didn’t work out quite how I had expected or imagined it. Since then, I have worked for Energy Kidz in Breakfast and After School Clubs.
Now, my blog is going to be a means for me to share my journey as I enter the world of education here in the UK. I am super excited to have been in the most fantastic job since September 2020, as a Learning Support Assistant and English as an Additional Language (EAL) Teacher course at my old Secondary School Highdown School and Sixth Form Centre, with the view to undertake Teacher Training in 2021/2022 through an Assessment Only route - either to train to teach EAL and English, or MFL, or all three.
This blog will be a platform for me to share my adventures in teaching, travel, and more with the rest of the world...
Welcome to Em's Adventures...
